2023 Grant Winner: Rikki Neumann
I am Rikki Neumann, owner and head coach of Radiant Boxing, LLC. At Radiant Boxing, we believe that boxing is for everyone, regardless of age or ability. We use boxing training techniques applied in fitness circuit workouts. We specialize in non-contact classes for people with Parkinson's disease. We also have classes, private lessons, and small group sessions to empower girls and women through teaching self defense. We now teach 4 different skillsets; Kid, Teen, Adult and Physical Limitation. Radiant Boxing is currently located in the AirPark Community Center. I also partner with the Lincoln Indian Center and Society of Care to provide a free class for Native youth and their families.
I am inspired by my boxing coaches who taught me life lessons and are now life long mentors, and wish continue their legacy. My mission is to help people gain physical wellness, boost their confidence and self-love and increase their sense of community.

2021 Grant Winner: Leisha Pitkin
I am Leisha Pitkin, founder, and creator of The Peri Parcel. The Peri Parcel is a postpartum care kit that provides a new mom with all of the essentials she needs to aid recovery after giving birth vaginally or by c-section. All of the remedies included are handmade with natural, safe, and effective ingredients to promote smoother recovery. Included in the parcel are some resources to help women and their families plan for a time of recovery.
My Company Story
I created this company after recognizing a great need for better postpartum care and education for women after being pregnant. There is so much attention given to planning for pregnancy and the baby, the health of the mothers following birth is almost forgotten! For instance, the standard care for pregnant mothers includes 10-15 prenatal visits. Standard care for babies within their first year includes 7-10 wellness visits. But postpartum mothers only have two standard medical visits after giving birth. Without adequate support in place for postpartum mothers, they are often left to figure things out on their own. I want women all over the world to receive this parcel during pregnancy so they have the resources ready for their recovery.
Currently, I offer two different kits that can be purchased from my online store. Individual products and birth affirmations are also available. With the funds provided by this grant, I will be able to expand my kit options and the resources within the kits. I plan to have more products available for breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding moms, moms recovering after c-sections, and moms recovering after miscarriage and late-term loss. In addition to the added product lines, the grant resources will also allow me to establish wholesale accounts for more of my supplies, namely breast pads and wipes, and invest in marketing for my business.
The Peri Parcel launched on Mother’s Day in May 2019. In the first 17 months of business, parcels reached hundreds of women in 31 states! Thank you very much for your consideration in contributing to the grant, so The Peri Parcel can provide postpartum care to women all over the world!
